Mayer’s Hematoxylin

Mayer’s Hematoxylin (Lillie’s Modification) provides nuclear hematoxylin stain in routine H&E, immunoperoxidase procedures, and some special stains. It has been specially formulated to eliminate the necessity for differentiation. Nuclear staining should be strong, clean and crisp. Bluing reagent may be used following hematoxylin to alter the shade of hematoxylin from a purple to blue.
